Liminal Dissolve: Imagined Futures

In this project, I explore climate change, humanity’s future on Earth, and our place within vast landscapes. Inspired by Bombay Beach, Valley of Fire, and Joshua Tree National Park in the American West, each site’s vast emptiness and surreal energy conveyed a timelessness that felt outside of present-day society. Immersed in these locations, I became drawn to traces of human presence—from vanishing car lights to fossilized rocks and ancient sea beds—contemplating life’s resilience across eras. This journey led me to imagine a future shaped by uncertainties and impossibilities, where what seems unreal today may become our tomorrow.
