Anya Negin (b. 2002) is an American photographer based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Through visual based media, Anya uncovers new realities lurking within our own world. Playing with manipulations of reflective surfaces and the use of double exposure and collages that reform our perceptions and understanding of our world, she explores topics from the illusions of our self perception to the impact of climate and the passage of time on environment. Her earlier experience as a lighting designer and as a dancer has translated into her work capturing the unpredictable play of light and movement in day to day life. She has worked with Nederlands Dans Theaters renowned technical theater crew, has exhibited in Brutus Rotterdam, Operator Radio Rotterdam, photographed for International Film Festival Rotterdam, presented publications in Unseen Bookfair and has self-curated an exhibition with a collective of photographers in Rotterdam.
