Photography allows me to freeze movement, to go beyond the lighting design and choregraphy to capture how light and movment blend together. Combining my backrgound in lighting design and dance with my style of photography allows me to capture the essence dancers and performance, and the experince of the stage.
Lighting design has transitioned into my photography compostionally and spatialy, and through the use of different kinds of exposures. The combination of long exposures and freezing movement and moments on stage is how I translate light into my images.
